Local 1920′s Blue Prints

5 September 2014
We are thrilled to share with you 4 different original architectural blue prints from the J. W. Wilhelm Undertaking Co. building! Each blueprint is professionally framed and matted, $249 each and measure 37×20”. Danielle started investigating the building’s history and found some great information – Built in 1924, the Wilhelm’s undertaking building featured a chapel, covered parking for their first motorized ambulance as well as housing for their family on the 3rd floor. The family business continued till 1990. In 2006, the building was redesigned as mixed use offices and condos and renamed the Dupont building after it’s original designer, Henry Dupont. The lot where this building once stood is empty today awaiting a new structure. As always we are so glad to share with you some local history, artifacts, and stories about our great city.
